empowering Schools and teACHERS to use and fuse glass.
Bring glass into your classroom. Learn how your students can create beautiful, one-of-a-kind necklaces, ornaments, stars or sun catchers. These projects are perfect for cementing a math concept or as a holiday or Mother's Day gifts. Using methods developed prior to the advent of computer-controlled kilns and kits of pre-cut glass pieces, participants experience how easy it is to use this exciting material in their classroom.
The last image in the gallery above is a video you can share with your students to teach them to attach the strings to their necklaces.
During this 90 minute training you will gain a mastery of fusing techniques by firing glass in your school's kiln. Using these skills participants will be able to independently fire the necklaces designed during the training.
Your will receive:
- Hands-on firing experience
- Hands-on necklaces creation experience
- Access to kits of pre-cut project materials
- Handouts of all class materials
- Step-by-step project ideas for curriculum tie-ins
Available in the Portland, Oregon metropolitan area. Access to kiln required
